 Where is the Guild located?
Server: Currently "Aquilonia" (RP-PvP)
Playstyle: Obviously, if interested in PvP we ask that you abide by the RP-PvP ruleset; We are NOT an RP guild, but we respect the needs of the server.

Is Twilight the Guild for me?
The best way to find out is to give us a try. You can tag along on Guild outings if there is space available, which is basically all the time since there are no real group-size restrictions. When you do join the Guild, we have a 14 day period in which you have “Comrade” status. Think of this as a mutual trial period. This trial period may be extended if you are not actively playing your character during the recruit phase.

What sort of Guild is Twilight?
Twilight is a Guild created around the idea of mature gamers using teamwork and sound tactical gameplay to accomplish game-based goals. Twilight is a casual PvE AND PvP Guild for mature (18+) players. We offer a friendly, cooperative home for skilled and dedicated players. We do not require minimum attendance from our members since we recognize the need to balance AoC with RL obligations of family, work and other commitments.

Do you have an age requirement?
You must be 18 or older to join the Twilight Guild. Your main should be lvl 40+ and have a mount. Any alts are not allowed to join before your main is lvl 80. Your main must be in Twilight. Guild member or not, we welcome all players to run with us provided that you want to work cooperatively as part of a team and act in a mature manner.

How do I join?
After you have read the Twilight Creed and Values statement, indicate your interest by completing the registration information in the Twilight Application thread. You can expect to be contacted by an officer. It is in your interest to spend time during that 14 day period interacting with Guild members via Guild chat, Ventrilo and by grouping for gameplay. If we don't know who you are from first hand experience, then it is pretty hard to change your status to full membership.

Forums, Forums, Forums!!!
If you're not checking the forums daily...yes, DAILY... you're missing out on important information as a Guild member. Failure to check in regularly will lead to missing out on Guild updates, events and other important information.

What sort of end-game activities do you have?
Well... ALL OF IT! Currently, end-game consists of City building, high level grouped instance runs (Raids) and PVP. All of this will be in the Twilight plan from day (1) and you can expect to be a part of many Guild events when the time is right. Expect to see a Calendar of events posted and available before events take place.

How do I sign up for instances, raids, etc?
For Raids there will be a calendar linked at hp, that everyone who will raid have to sign in time. Otherwise just bring your gameface and you’re good to go. Having said that, you MAY encounter times when organization is paramount and people and/or Twilight Guild may wish to put together something more concrete.

Above all else, PAY ATTENTION TO THE FORUMS.

Any special PVE,PvP-actions or instance runs where people need a head-count will of course require a /sign (usually). Simply respond and you should be good to go.

How do you handle loot?
Loot is "need over greed" unless stated prior to the run. Preference should be given to those that will UPGRADE instead of “side-grading.

This means you DON’T roll on that weapon (if a roll is necessary). Let your Clanmate get the upgrade. Reason being, a Guild’s strength is judged as a whole… not by the few nice pieces of lewt a few members have.

Try to make sure an item is tradeable after you pick it up; if it’s NOT, be sure you NEED it and it’s not simply just another toy. If it is something you need, try to make sure someone (either currently or in the near-future) can use the weapon you wish to replace it for.

Do you guys PVP?
Indeed (especially on the PvP server). We will do periodic Guild groupings for PVP, minigames and schedule "PVP Events" from time to time to support this. It WILL be a necessary part of the game we play within the world of AoC, especially during “end game.” When this time comes, be prepared to put Twilight tactics to good use whether in the open, in the arenas, sieges, drunken brawling, or simply defending your honor.

Can I get help with my lower level character?
Absolutely! The best way to get help is by checking the in-game Guild roster and chatting/tell with others around your level to form a group. Bigger quests and instance runs can be announced/requested in the Twilight forums ahead of time so that people can learn about it, express interest, and plan for being there. Higher level players can also help out from time to time, but we expect you to do most of the "heavy lifting" 'around leveling on your own. Ventrillo is of course the easiest way to ask for help. And by all means, if you’re PvPing and desperately need protection or help – please ask.

What happens if I want to join another Guild?
If you are a Twilight member and decide that you would be happier in another Guild, we wish you well. We also expect you to immediately cease your membership in Twilight at the time you apply to another Guild. While we understand that there can be many reasons to change Guilds, remaining a member in Twilight while actively seeking to join another Guild is completely inconsistent with our goals.
If you believe you have valid reasons for staying in Twilight while seeking to join another Guild, you may request consideration of your situation by one of the Twilight senior officers.

Who are the officers of the Twilight Guild?
Please see the Officers Roster (click link) for our most up to date list of our officers.

How is rank structured within the Guild?
The current ranks follows the in-game rank structure and is based on the Cimmerian Militia/Clan :

1. (Chieftain)
2. (Warchief)
3. (Elder)
4. (Kinsman)
5. (Comrades)

Officers:

Chieftain - Leader of the Guild. Although the rank structure is militaristic, our stance is not one of a Dictatorship. The Chieftain is not the be-all end-all of the Guild. The Twilight Guild is one of brotherhood and collective input and interface. It is NOT the sole responsibility of the Chieftain to organize, lead, and/or announce ANY Guild events. While the leader reserves the right, ANYONE in Twilight (officer or otherwise) may make any suggestion they’d like to make.

Warchiefs

Main Officers of the Guild. Officers in general are charged with representing Twilight with grace and taking creative Leadership roles whenever able. In all reality, it is the Warchief who make the AoC Guild click. They are the leaders, organizers, and teachers of the Guild as well as ambassadors. However, each have their primary duties.

Elder

A hardened Twilight clan member, a mix of core players and ex-warchiefs. The heart and soul of the Guild are the member ranks, Have their own Elder Council chat on vent. represents a commitment to the Guild and is the tip of the spear when it comes to Guild action. Although not an officer, an Elder has the same voice as a Chieftain or Warchief does. If he/she has a suggestion or an op (operation) they’d like to plan, then by all means they take the lead.

Kinsman

This ranking is reserved for folks who have recently passed the probationary period. If you’ve made this rank… welcome to Twilight Guild! Being a member doesn’t mean you get to sit back, relax, and just take orders. You’re expected to give some yourself. The forums are your friend. Have info. to share, a suggestion, or op to run?? Post it and take charge!Regardless, as all the rankings do, you have full permission to speak your mind.

Comrades

Welp, if you’ve got this rank you’re basically fresh outta’ Boot and a “Grunt.”At least when it comes to being a Twilight member ;) This rank is reserved for new members of Twilight who are undergoing the probationary period. If all is well and an Officer supports it, the Comrade will be moved up to Kinsmean, once the time is right. Again, this by no means says that Conscripts are “second-class” clan members. Quite the contrary, as a Conscript it behooves you to take Twilight membership seriously and be active from day one. As the “new guy” obviously it’s sometimes wise not to be too pushy, but that doesn’t mean you get a free pass to remain silent.

How do I get on Ventrillo?
Once you register on the Twilight Clan forum, your personalized Venrillo info Will be available to you via the "Ventrillo" link in the your forum page. Search the forum for help with setting up Ventrillo if you are not familiar with the app. Ventrillo is REQUIRED for use in Twilight, at the very least just to listen (if you don’t have a mic or have reservations about using VOIP). Not only is it imperative to employ Twilight tactics, but imperative for guild camaraderie, morale, and organization.
